The glittering 1stHR excellence award ceremony was solemnized on Nov 19, 2018, at Hotel Fortune Excalibur, Gurgaon, Haryana.
PNGI successfully organized its 1st HR Excellence Award ceremony on 18thNovember, 2018.
The event was flagged off with a panel discussion on “Employee relations strategy for sustainable business growth 2018”.
Eminent speakers who shared their views included –

The session was moderated by Mr. Abhay Kapoor (Sr.HR Leader North India, Amazon). Experts shared and advised that long term and sustainable success of any industry depends on adequate HR Policies and its best practices coupled with healthy connect with all its employees, internal and external stakeholders.HR professionals must be courageous and face any unpleasant situations and should not be only a yes man.
Respecting, listening and resolving employees’ issues with care and concern, being fair and having a positive approach so that each employee feels the pulse of organization. This will ensure a wow experience for all employees. Blue collared people are also to be respected and allowed to put forth their views to ensure inclusivity and contribute to the work culture. Dissatisfied employees must be turned to delighted employees. Employees connect, dialogue, grievance handling, negotiating and influencing plays an important role here.
Chief Guest of the opening ceremony, Mr Raj Nehru, VC of Vishvakarma Skill University, Gurgaon graced the occasion with his benign presence and presented the key note address. He emphasized on creating employability among young people and ensuring quality supply to industries on their demand.

Chief Guest of closing ceremony, Mr.S.Y.Siddiqui-Mentor PNGI & Advisor Maruti Suzuki concluded the session with a message "that each successful HR must be good human being first and must have a fair connect with their employees and other stake holders. It is the responsibility of HR people to convince the employer on maintaining the fair, basic and welfare amenities for its employees who ultimately give the desired output and success. Our approach must be fair, firm, pro-employees and with the right business perspective.
To acknowledge the long and impactful contribution towards society and to do justice to the profession PNGI governing council members bestowed upon “LIFETIME ACHIEVMENT AWARD” to three eminent HR and IR professionals:

All three gentlemen were overwhelmed and showed their deep gratitude for this coveted award.
It was a special moment for all PNGI members and other attendees as they have achieved a milestone today by successfully executing the HR Excellence Awards ceremony.

In total, 32 teams participated in the organization category and 8 in the individual category.
Out of 40 Teams, 8teams were rejected in pre-assessment round and 10 teams in jury round.
Remaining 22teams were awarded in the award ceremony.

Organization Category
Learning and Development: Mahle Anand Filter system won in the Par Excellence and Roop Automotives Limited won in the Excellence and Honda Car (Greater Noida) won in the Merit category.
Talent Management: Hero Moto Corp, Dharuhera won in Par Excellence and Eicher-Engine Division (Tafe Motors & Tractors Ltd) won in Excellence and Talbross Automotive Faridabad won in the Merit category.
Industrial Relation Strategy: Cavendish (Group Company of J.K.Tyre) won in Par Excellence, Maruti Suzuki (Power Train) and Hero Moto Corp (Neemrana) in Excellence and Subros Limited (Manesar) won in Merit

40 entries were received; all presentations were assessed by experienced HR professionals. PNGI also acknowledges their valuable contribution and time taken to assess the presentations and suggest suitable changes to enable participating organizations to become competitive. After thorough screening of applications based on the criteria, 30 applicants were shortlisted and invited for presenting before the jury.

Final thanks to the governing body, award committee, jury members, Mr.Salil Lal(Chairperson-PNGI,Head HR, Car Plant Maruti Suzuki) and the whole team of PNGI who have worked with passion and dedication since last 3-4 month to make this award ceremony a grand success.
